Deal announces appointments to Corrections, parole board

Gov. Nathan Deal today announced that he has appointed former Department of Corrections Commissioner Brian Owens to the state Board of Pardons and Paroles, and he has nominated Georgia Department of Natural Resources Deputy Commissioner Homer Bryson to succeed Owens as commissioner of Corrections.

Deal: Tyson Foods to create 500 jobs in Dooly County

Gov. Nathan Deal today announced that Tyson Foods, Inc., one of the world's largest producers of chicken, beef, pork and prepared foods, will expand in Vienna, creating 500 jobs and investing $110 million over the next year.

Deal: Osmose Utilities Services to create 100 jobs in Fayette County

Gov. Nathan Deal today announced that Osmose Utilities Services, Inc., an inspection, maintenance and rehabilitation service provider for electric utilities and telecommunication companies, will build a new headquarters in Peachtree City, creating as many as 100 new jobs over the next year.
