Deal appoints four to boards

Ronald Mabra, Georgia Child Support Commission

Mabra is the founder of the Mabra Firm, LLC, a personal injury law firm in Midtown Atlanta. He is currently serving his second term in the Georgia House of Representatives, where serves on the High School Athletics Overview Committee. Mabra earned a bachelor’s degree from Georgia Tech and a law degree from the University of Georgia. He and his wife, Dawn, reside in Fayetteville.     

Phil Gingrey, M.D., Board of Governors of the George L. Smith II World Congress Center Authority

Gingrey represented Georgia’s 11th Congressional District from 2003 to 2015, founding the Congressional Doctors Caucus and serving on the House Energy and Commerce Committee. He also served as a state senator and as chairman of the Marietta City School Board. Prior to his public service, Gingrey was an OB/GYN physician for more than 20 years, delivering 5,200 babies. He belongs to the Cobb County Medical Society, the Medical Association of Georgia, the Georgia OB/GYN Society and is a board-certified member of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Gingrey earned a bachelor’s degree from Georgia Tech and a medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia. He and his wife, Billie, have four children and thirteen grandchildren. They reside in Marietta.

Jennifer Conway Clay, Georgia Board of Massage Therapy (reappointment)

Clay is a certified neuromuscular therapist and the owner of Gwinnett Massage Clinic. She is involved in a variety of organizations to help fund cancer research. Clay graduated summa cum laude from Gwinnett College. She and her husband, Chris, have three children and reside in Loganville.

Brian Rickman, Board of Public Safety (reappointment)

Rickman has served as the district attorney of the Mountain Judicial Circuit since 2008. He is a member of the board of trustees of Piedmont College. He was named “40 Under 40 Lawyers” by the Fulton Daily Report in 2013 and is a recipient of the Piedmont College Pacesetter Alumni Award. Rickman earned a bachelor’s degree from Piedmont College and a law degree from the University of Georgia. He and wife, Maggie, have two children. They reside in Tiger.
