Deal: Project agreement signed for harbor deepening

Gov. Nathan Deal announced today that the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) and the Georgia Ports Authority (GPA) have signed a Project Partnership Agreement (PPA), allowing construction on the long-awaited Savannah Harbor Expansion Project to begin.

Gov. Nathan Deal announced today that PolyTech Fibers LLC, a Georgia-based polyester fiber manufacturer, will create 114 jobs and invest more than $12 million into its first manufacturing facility over the next three years in Murray County.

Gov. Nathan Deal announced today that Haso USA Inc., a Tokyo-based manufacturer of personal use cleaning products, will create 170 jobs and invest $7 million in a new location in Peachtree Corners.
