Deal announces Atlanta Judicial Circuit appointments
Gov. Nathan Deal today announced appointments to fill two vacancies within the Superior Court of the Atlanta Judicial Circuit. The vacancies were created by the retirement of the Honorable John J. Goger and by the appointment of the Honorable D. Todd Markle to the Court of Appeals of the State of Georgia. The seats will be filled by Rachel R. Krause and Emily K. Richardson.
The appointments will take effect upon swearing in.
Rachel R. Krause
Krause is a partner with Lewis Brisbois Bisgaard & Smith, LLP. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Georgia Southern University and a law degree from the Walter F. George School of Law at Mercer University. Krause and her husband, Thomas, have three children and reside in Atlanta.
Emily K. Richardson
Richardson is the Deputy Chief Assistant District Attorney with the DeKalb County District Attorney’s Office. She earned a bachelor’s degree from Duke University and a law degree from the Emory University School of Law. Richardson has one child and resides in Atlanta.
