Deal announces Henry County solicitor general appointment

Gov. Nathan Deal today announced the appointment of Pamela M. Bettis as solicitor general of the State Court of Henry County.

Bettis will fill the vacancy created by the appointment of the Honorable John A. “Trea” Pipkin, III to the Superior Court of the Flint Judicial Circuit. The appointment will take effect upon swearing in.

Bettis is a founding partner of Bettis & Howard, P.C. in McDonough. She earned a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree from Georgia State University, as well as a law degree from the Emory University School of Law. Bettis resides in Locust Grove.
