Deal announces district attorney appointment for Coweta Judicial Circuit

Gov. Nathan Deal today announced the appointment of the Honorable John Herbert Cranford Jr. as district attorney of the Coweta Judicial Circuit. Cranford will fill the vacancy created by the resignation of the Honorable Peter J. Skandalakis. The appointment will take effect upon swearing in.​

John Herbert Cranford Jr.
Cranford is the assistant district attorney of the Coweta Judicial Circuit. He earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Georgia and a law degree from the Walter F. George School of Law at Mercer University. Cranford resides in Newnan.
