Deal appoints 3 to boards
Adam H. Hatcher, Board of Community Affairs (reappointment)
Hatcher is the general counsel and vice president of People and Culture for MAU Workforce Solutions. He sits on the advisory boards for the Salvation Army, Heritage Academy and Fireside Ministries. Hatcher earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Virginia and a law degree from Wake Forest University. He and his wife, Courtney, have two children and reside in Augusta.
Albert M. Hodge Jr., Board of Community Affairs (reappointment)
Hodge is the president and CEO of the Rome Floyd Chamber. He is a former vice chair of the Georgia Board of Education and past president of the Georgia Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives and the Georgia Economic Developers Association. Hodge previously sat on the U.S. Department of Energy Citizen’s Leadership Board and the board of directors for the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives. He is a graduate of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation Institute for Organization Management and the University of Georgia. Hodge and his wife, Cheryl, have one daughter and live in Rome.
Michael Shaffer, Georgia Technology Authority
Shaffer is the chief advocacy officer and vice president of Government Relations and Community Affairs for Augusta University. He is a member of the Augusta University President’s Cabinet and previously served as a deputy chief of staff for Governor Nathan Deal. Shaffer earned a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of South Carolina.
