Deal announces judicial appointment

Gov. Nathan Deal today announced the appointment of the Honorable Ashley Wright as Superior Court Judge of the Augusta Judicial Circuit. Wright will fill the vacancy created by the resignation of the Honorable J. David Roper. The appointment will take effect upon swearing in.

Ashley Wright
Wright is the District Attorney of the Augusta Judicial Circuit. She earned a bachelor’s degree from Randolph-Macon Woman’s College in Lynchburg, Va., and a law degree from the Walter F. George School of Law at Mercer University. Wright resides in Augusta.
