Deal appoints five to boards
Emily Watson, Georgia Agricultural Exposition Authority
Watson is the director of marketing for the Colquitt Regional Medical Center. She sits on the board of trustees for the ABAC Foundation, the board of directors for the Southern Regional Technical College Foundation and the Moultrie YMCA. Watson earned a bachelor’s degree in Agribusiness from the University of Georgia. She and her husband, Sam, have two children. They reside in Moultrie.
Joan Thomas, Stone Mountain Memorial Association (reappointment)
Thomas owns and manages rental property in Walton County as well as a family-owned business, the Thomas Group, Inc., in DeKalb County. She has served on the board of trustees of the George Walton Academy and the Walton County Juvenile Court Judges Panel. Thomas and her husband, Kenneth, have four children and six grandchildren. They reside in Monroe.
Perry Tindol, Stone Mountain Memorial Association (reappointment)
Tindol is a partner and chief financial officer of Allgood Pest Solutions in Duluth. He serves on the executive board of the Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce and is a member of the Gwinnett Chamber’s Public Policy Council. Tindol is a past president of the Rotary Club of Gwinnett and served as a member for more than 20 years. He also serves on several advisory boards including the Salvation Army, the Gwinnett Medical Center Foundation and the Community Foundation for Northeast Georgia. Tindol earned a bachelor’s degree from Georgia Southern University. He and his wife, Tammy, reside in Dacula.
Clint Bearden, Lake Lanier Island Development Authority (reappointment)
Bearden is an attorney with the law office of David Ralston in Blue Ridge. He also serves as a part-time associate judge of the Magistrate Court of Dawson County. Bearden is the chairman of the United Way of Dawson County and serves as legal counsel to several local nonprofit organizations. He earned a bachelor’s and law degree from the University of Georgia. Bearden and his wife, Janey, have three children. They reside in Dawsonville.
Wayne Jessup, Lake Lanier Island Development Authority (reappointment)
Jessup retired as managing partner from the certified public accounting firm of Jessup Compton & Pierce PC in 2010. While in public practice, he was a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and is a life member of the Georgia Society of Certified Accountants. Jessup is also a former member of the Gainesville Kiwanis Club. He earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Georgia and a master’s degree from Georgia College. Jessup and his wife, Susan, have three children and five grandchildren. They reside in Gainesville.
