Deal announces judicial appointment

Gov. Nathan Deal this week announced the appointment of the Honorable Glen A. Cheney as Superior Court Judge of the Atlantic Judicial Circuit. Cheney will fill the vacancy created by the resignation of the Honorable David L. Cavender. The appointment will take effect upon swearing in.

Glen A. Cheney 

Cheney is the sole practitioner at his firm Glen A. Cheney, P.C.  He previously served as the judge for the Municipal Court of Collins. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Georgia Southern University and a law degree from John Marshall Law School. He and his wife, Marilyn, have two children and reside in Reidsville.
