Deal appoints three to boards

Mark Revenew, Board of Public Safety (reappointment)
Revenew is chief of police for the City of Pooler. He is a U.S. Army veteran and served as a military policeman Hunter Army Airfield in Savannah. Revenew is an adjunct professor of Criminal Justice at Saint Leo University. He is a member of Savannah-Chatham Crimestoppers, the Savannah Technical Police Academy Advisory Board and the Savannah-Chatham 911 Advisory Board. Revenew earned a bachelor’s degree in Criminology from Saint Leo University and a master’s degree in Public Administration from Georgia Southern University. He graduated from the 166th Session of the FBI National Academy. Revenew has two children. They reside in Pooler.

Pete Skandalakis, Board of Public Safety
Skandalakis is the district attorney of the Coweta Judicial Circuit. He is a recipient of the Governor’s Public Safety Award, the CJCC Eagle Award and the Georgia District Attorney of the Year Award. Skandalakis was the president of the Georgia District Attorney’s Association and chairman of the Prosecuting Attorneys’ Council of Georgia. He earned a bachelor’s degree, a master’s degree and a law degree from the University of Georgia. Skandalakis and his wife, Mary, have three children and one grandchild. They reside in LaGrange.

Rick Elder, Georgia World War I Centennial Commission
Elder is a state inspector for the Georgia Chapter of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and chairman of the Screven County Vietnam Commemorative Partnership. He is a U.S. Air Force veteran and served as a jet pilot in the Vietnam War. Elder was previously president of International Consulting Company and director of Miami International Airport. He was also the chairman of the World Trade Center Miami. Elder and his wife, Victoria, have two children and two grandchildren. They reside in Sylvania.
