Deal: April revenues up 15 percent

Gov. Nathan Deal announced today that Georgia’s net tax revenues for April totaled $1.93 billion, an increase of $252 million, or 15 percent, compared to April 2014. 

Deal signs 2016 budget

Gov. Nathan Deal today signed into law the bill establishing next year’s $21.8 billion state budget, which will keep Georgia moving forward in education, public safety, economic development, health care and other key areas.  

Deal: Schools statewide awarded $25 million technology grant

Gov. Nathan Deal today announced 136 local education authorities (LEAs) will be awarded more than $25.3 million from the second round of the Connections for Classrooms grant program, a collaborative funding effort between the Governor’s Office of Student Achievement (GOSA), the Georgia Department of Education and the One Georgia Authority to help ensure classrooms across the state have the high-speed broadband access required for digital and blended learning.
