Notification of Release of the FY 15 First Steps Georgia Funding Grant Program Request For Proposal (RFP)

The Governor’s Office for Children and Families, in partnership with Department of Human Services, is pleased to offer a Request for Proposal (RFP) to implement First Steps Georgia in communities. The mission of First Steps Georgia is to provide universal support services for all expectant parents and for all families with children ages birth to five within the early maternal and childhood systems framework called Great Start Georgia. The specific aims of First Steps Georgia are to provide expectant parents and families with children ages birth to five 1) current information on topics of interest and relevance to the family; 2) information on community resources relevant to the family; and 3) services to strengthen the protective factor of concrete connections to promote maternal and infant health for expectant parents and parents of children birth to five. Applications for the FY 15 First Steps Georgia Funding Grant Program must be postmarked no later than May 30, 2014 and may only be submitted to GOCF through certified mail or overnight delivery (no hand deliveries).
