Belinda Z. Sanders, State Board of Cosmetology and Barbers

Sanders is a hair replacement specialist at Regain Hair Restoration in Decatur. She is a licensed master cosmetologist and a licensed cosmetology instructor. Sanders is also a facilitator for the Look Good, Feel Better program at DeKalb Medical Hospital-Hillandale. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Management from the University of Southern Mississippi. Sanders and her husband, Darrin, reside in Lithonia.

Betty J. Carlisle, State Board of Cosmetology and Barbers

Carlisle worked in her family’s business, Holmes Auto Parts, as corporate treasurer before retiring. She is a past president of the Macon Exchangettes Club and was previously named Exchangite of the Year. Carlisle is active in her local and state Republican Party. She and her husband, Harold, have one child. They reside in Macon.

S. David Jones, State Board of Cosmetology and Barbers

Jones is a licensed master barber and hairstylist. He is a member of the Barber Hall Fame, a former Roffler and Redken shop educator and a past president of the National Association of Barber Boards of America. He and his wife, Jamie, have two children and three grandchildren. They reside in Perry.

Virgil Ergle, State Board of Cosmetology and Barbers                                                                                 

Ergle currently works at Master of Styles in Snellville. He graduated from Moler Barber College. Ergle is a Vietnam War veteran and was awarded the Purple Heart Medal of Honor. He is a board member at Calvary Praise in Snellville. Ergle has two children and three grandchildren and resides in Stone Mountain.

T. Kay Kendrick, State Board of Cosmetology and Barbers

Kendrick is the owner of Cut & Style salon in Thomson. She is a past president of the Georgia Cosmetology Association and the National Board of Cosmetology and is a state and area trainer for the Look Good, Feel Better program. Kendrick is a graduate of Augusta Technical College and also holds a degree in Applied Sciences from the University of Georgia. She and her husband, Walter, have five children, 10 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. They reside in Thomson.

Dana Love, State Board of Cosmetology and Barbers

Love is an esthetician with Atlanta Plastic Surgery at the AYA Medical Spa. She is a esthetician instructor, a licensed medical esthetician and a certified laser technician. Love earned a bachelor’s degree from Columbus State University. She and her husband, Devery, reside in Atlanta.

Jennifer Lynn Cheely, State Board of Cosmetology and Barbers

Cheely is a nail technician at Tasha’s Styles in Thomson. She was voted “Best of McDuffie” in 2013 for best nail technician. Cheely earned her certification from Augusta Technical College. She and her husband, Richard, have four children. They reside in Thomson.

Philamenia Rivers, State Board of Cosmetology and Barbers

Rivers holds a Georgia real estate license with Better Homes and Gardens Metrobrokers and is a licensed master barber and master barber instructor. She is on the board at Maxwell Math and Science High School and serves as treasurer on the board of directors for Rubies, Inc. Rivers earned a bachelor’s degree from South Carolina State University. She and her husband, Clyde, have two children. They reside in Norcross.

Sarah Scott, State Board of Cosmetology and Barbers

Scott owns and operates Style Connection, a full service salon in Gainesville. She holds a master cosmetologist license. Scott and her husband, Wallace, have three children and 11 grandchildren. They reside in Gainesville.

Chuck Little, State Workforce Development Board

Little serves as the human resources director for the Atlanta Electrical Contractors Association. He is a member of the Southern Polytechnic Construction Management Advisory Board, the Georgia Piedmont Technical College Foundation, Georgia Operation Lifesaver, the Construction Education Foundation of Georgia, the Atlanta Chapter of American Society of Safety Engineers and the Gwinnett Employer Committee. Little earned a bachelor’s degree from Pennsylvania State University. He and his wife, Patricia, have two daughters. They reside in Suwanee.

Michael A. Beatty, State Workforce Development Board

Beatty is president and chief executive officer of Great Promise Partnership. He previously served as a member of the Georgia General Assembly and as commissioner of the Department of Community Affairs. Beatty earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Georgia. He and his wife, Judy, have one child and three grandchildren. They reside in Jefferson.

James Robert Wilburn, State Workforce Development Board

Wilburn is the director of the Military Academic Programs for Georgia Tech Professional Education. He developed the Veterans Education Training and Transition program, which focuses on assisting service members’ transition from military to the civilian workforce. He also worked as a course director, operations officer and instructor at the United States Military Academy. Wilburn earned a bachelor’s degree from New Mexico State University, a master’s degree from Indiana University and a doctorate from Vanderbilt University. He and his wife, Kristen, have two children. They reside in Savannah.

Mark H. Wilson, State Workforce Development Board

Wilson is the director of Human Resources at Langdale Industries, Inc. He is the Valdosta representative for the Great Promise Partnership program and is the vice chair of Employers Like Me and co-founder of the World Class Employee Recognition Program. He is a member of the board of directors for the Cancer Coalition of South Georgia and sits on the advisory committees for the Adult and Career Education program of Valdosta State University, the Valdosta Early College Academy and Wiregrass Georgia Technical College. Wilson earned a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management from the University of Alabama. He and his wife, Debbie, have one child. They reside in Lake Park.

Sharon Jenkins Tucker, Georgia Composite Board of Professional Counselors, Social Workers & Marriage and Family Therapists

Tucker is the executive director of the Georgia Mental Health Consumer Network, Inc. She is a certified Peer Specialist and is credentialed through the I’m The Evidence mental health campaign. Tucker is chair of the Georgia Behavioral Health Planning and Advisory Council. She was awarded the 2010 Isaiah Uliss Advocate Award by the Psychiatric Rehabilitation Association and the 2009 Clifford W. Beers Award by Mental Health America. Tucker earned a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree from West Virginia University. She and her husband, Randy, reside in Stone Mountain.

Eve Byrd, State Housing Trust Fund for the Homeless Commission

Byrd is the executive director of the Fuqua Center for Late-Life Depression at Emory University School of Medicine, Division of Geriatric Psychiatry. She is a family nurse practitioner and psychiatric clinical nurse specialist. Byrd is a member of the board of directors for Community Friendship, Inc. and the American Association of Geriatric Psychiatry. She previously sat on the board of directors for the Georgia Supportive Housing Association and Mental Health America of Georgia. Byrd earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Florida State University and a bachelor’s degree in Nursing, a master’s degree in Psychosocial Nursing and a master’s degree in Public Health from Emory University. She and her husband, Eugene, have two children. They reside in Decatur.

Matt Thompson, Georgia Film, Music and Digital Entertainment Advisory Commission

Thompson is the executive producer and co-owner of Floyd County Productions, an Atlanta-based animation production company. Thompson earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas. He and his wife, Merrell, have three children. They reside in Atlanta.

Michael P. Tyson, Georgia Film, Music and Digital Entertainment Advisory Commission

Tyson is the rigging gaffer on the feature film “Element,” produced by Amnesia Productions, LLC. His previous projects include the feature films “Insurgent,” “The Hunger Games - Catching Fire,” “The Hunger Games - Mockingjay” Parts 1 and 2, “The Accountant,” “Nice Guys,” “Million Dollar Arm,” “Prisoners,” “The Internship” and “Hall Pass.” He is a member of the International Alliance of Theatrical Employees, Local 479. Tyson previously served in the Georgia Army National Guard for seven years. He and his wife, Aubrey, have three children. They reside in Sugar Hill.

Andrew Greenberg, Georgia Film, Music and Digital Entertainment Advisory Commission

Greenberg is the executive director of the Georgia Game Developers Association. He is the lead developer on the upcoming “Fading Suns: Noble Armada” mobile and tablet game. He co-created the “Fading Suns” role-playing and computer games and was the original developer of White Wolf’s “Vampire: The Masquerade.” He is a fellow with the Mythic Imagination Institute and is the organizer of the Southeast Interactive Entertainment and Games Expo. Greenberg earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville. He and his wife, Meldrena, have one child. They reside in Tucker.

Mike Akins, Georgia Film, Music and Digital Entertainment Advisory Commission

Akins is the business agent for the International Alliance of Theatrical Employees, Local 479. He has worked in various capacities in the motion picture industry in Georgia since 1987. He is a veteran of the U.S. Navy. Akins earned a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree from Oklahoma State University. He and his wife, Julia, have four children. They reside in Madison.

Stephen G. Weizenecker, Georgia Film, Music and Digital Entertainment Advisory Commission

Weizenecker is a partner in the Atlanta office of Barnes & Thornburg, LLP. He is a member of the governing committee of the American Bar Association’s Forum on Sports and Entertainment Industries and is the chair of the Entertainment, Sports and Entertainment Law section of the State Bar of Georgia. Weizenecker earned a bachelor’s degree from Emory University and a law degree from Western Michigan University. He and his wife, Evis, have two children. They reside in Buckhead.

W. Craig Miller, Georgia Film, Music and Digital Entertainment Advisory Commission

Miller is the founder of Craig Miller Productions and is the co-president and public relations chair for the Georgia Production Partnership. He is a member of the Southeast chapter of the Association for Independent Commercial Producers, the Metro Atlanta Chamber and the Ronald McDonald Advisory Board. Miller earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Georgia. He and his wife, Carolyn, have six children and three grandchildren. They reside in Alpharetta.

Stratton Leopold, Georgia Film, Music and Digital Entertainment Advisory Commission

Leopold is the owner and operator of Leopold’s Ice Cream. He has worked as a producer, executive producer and co-producer, overseeing the production of many films including “Mission: Impossible III,” “Paycheck,” “The Sum of All Fears,” “Bless the Child,” “The General’s Daughter,” “Born Yesterday,” “Bound by Honor,” “The Big One,” “The Rose and the Jackal” and “The Adventures of Baron Munchausen.” He was also a production manager on “Tango and Cash,” “The Mosquito Coast” and other films. He and his wife, Mary, reside in Savannah.

John B. Raulet, Georgia Film, Music and Digital Entertainment Advisory Commission

Raulet is a real estate professional with Raulet Property Partners. He and his partners own and operate two film and television sound stage facilities, Mailing Avenue Stageworks and Westside Stageworks. Raulet is a member of the board of the Georgia Studio and Infrastructure Alliance, the advisory board for the Georgia Film Institute at Southern Crescent Technical College and the board of Chattahoochee Now. He and his wife, Jennifer, have three children. They reside in Buckhead.

Donald W. Pearson, Georgia Film, Music and Digital Entertainment Advisory Commission

Pearson is the owner of Pearson and Company in Tifton. He is a member of the Atlanta Society of Financial Service Professionals, the American College Charter Life Underwriter Foundation, the Million Dollar Round Table and Foundation and the National Association of Security Dealers. He was previously vice president of Economic Development for the Tifton-Tift County Chamber of Commerce, president of the Tifton Sertoma Club and the vice chairman of the Tift Regional Medical Center Foundation. Pearson attended Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College and is a graduate of the 1976 Leadership Georgia class. He and his wife, Linda, have three sons and two grandchildren. They reside in Tifton.

Karla Redding-Andrews, Georgia Film, Music and Digital Entertainment Advisory Commission

Redding-Andrews is the executive director for the Otis Redding Foundation. She is a member of the board of the Macon Convention & Visitors Bureau, the Georgia Southern University Board of Alumni, the Robert McDuffie Center for Strings Board of Visitors and the Georgia Women of Achievement Board. She is also the vice chair of the Georgia Music Foundation board. Redding-Andrews earned a bachelor’s degree from Georgia Southern University. She and her husband, Timothy, have two children. They reside in Round Oak.

LaRonda Sutton, Georgia Film, Music and Digital Entertainment Advisory Commission

Sutton is the director of the Mayor’s Office of Entertainment for the City of Atlanta. She was previously vice president of Music Development and Production for Foxx/King Entertainment, senior vice president of Urban Creative for Universal Music Publishing and the general manager of Hitco Music Publishing. Sutton is a board member for the BronzeLens Film Festival, the Atlanta Film Festival and Re/Imagine: ATL. She and her daughter reside in Hapeville.

Christopher W. Klaus, Georgia Film, Music and Digital Entertainment Advisory Commission

Klaus is the founder and chief executive officer of Kaneva. He is a member of the Savannah College of Art and Design Board of Visitors, the Georgia Game Developers Association, the Georgia Tech Foundation Board and the Georgia Tech College of Computing Board. He and his wife, Crissy, have two children. They reside in Atlanta.

Jim Pace, Georgia Film, Music and Digital Entertainment Advisory Commission

Pace is the co-founder of Group VI, a real estate and construction firm in Peachtree City. He is a managing member of River’s Rock, LLC, and is responsible for the overall development of Pinewood Atlanta Studios. Pace earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Mississippi College. He and his wife, Mary, have three children. They reside in Peachtree City.

Craig Heyl, Georgia Film, Music and Digital Entertainment Advisory Commission

Heyl oversees Turner Studios’ Production and Creative services, Business Operations and Technology teams. His team received a 2013 Broadcast Engineering Excellence Award and the IBC Technology Innovations Award in 2012. Heyl earned a bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications and Journalism from the University of Florida. He and his wife, Dana, have one child. They reside in Atlanta.

Kris Bagwell, Georgia Film, Music and Digital Entertainment Advisory Commission

Bagwell is the executive vice president of EUE/Screen Gems Studios. He is also the founding chairman of the Georgia Studio and Infrastructure Alliance. Bagwell is a member of the advisory board for the Georgia Film Institute at Southern Crescent Technical College and is a past chair of the board of directors of the Georgia chapter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Philosophy from Cornell University. Bagwell has two sons and resides in Atlanta.

Shay Bentley-Griffin, Georgia Film, Music and Digital Entertainment Advisory Commission

Bentley-Griffin is president and CEO of the Chez Group and is a producer and developer of Georgia-based original content for television and film. She is the founding president of the Georgia Production Partnership. Bentley-Griffin worked as a casting director for more than 225 television series and feature films, including for clients such as Oscar-winning directors Ang Lee, Clint Eastwood and Robert Altman. She has earned three Emmy nominations and was awarded the Crystal Obelisk in 1996 by the Casting Society of America for her work on John Frankenheimer’s film “Andersonville” on TNT. Bentley-Griffin graduated from Bauder College. She resides in Cedartown.

Charlie Bethel, Georgia Film, Music and Digital Entertainment Advisory Commission

Bethel represents the 54th District in the Georgia Senate and is chair of the Senate Insurance and Labor Committee. He is employed as the director of Strategic and Legal Affairs at J+J Flooring Group. Bethel previously was a member of the Dalton City Council. He earned a bachelor’s degree and law degree from the University of Georgia. He and his wife, Lynsey, have three children. They reside in Dalton.

Jody Jackson, Georgia Film, Music and Digital Entertainment Advisory Commission

Jackson is the executive director of the John Jarrard Foundation in Gainesville. He has managed several national artists, including Shania Twain, B.J. Thomas and T. Graham Brown. Jackson has produced live shows with artists such as George Jones, Vince Gill and Travis Tritt. He currently produces several large shows around the state such as fundraising events for the Georgia Poultry Federation, the Georgia Alliance of Community Hospitals and the John Jarrard Foundation Songwriter Festival. Jackson earned a bachelor’s degree from West Georgia College. He has two children. They reside in Alpharetta.

Butch Parrish, Georgia Film, Music and Digital Entertainment Advisory Commission

Parrish is a retired pharmacist and represents the 158th District in the Georgia House of Representatives. He is the chairman of the Health Subcommittee of the Appropriations Committee and is a member of the Economic Development and Tourism and the Banks and Banking committees. Parrish is also a member of the One Georgia Authority Overview Committee and the Georgia World Congress Center Overview Committee. He earned a degree in Pharmacy from the University of Georgia. He and his wife Charlotte, have three children and seven grandchildren.

Jeffrey E. Mullis, Georgia Film, Music and Digital Entertainment Advisory Commission

Mullis represents the 53rd District in the Georgia Senate. He is the chairman of the Senate Rules Committee and is a member of the Appropriations, Economic Development and Tourism and Regulated Industries and Utilities committees. Mullis also chairs the Senate Music Committee and the Halls of Fame Joint Committee. He has been recognized by Georgia Trend and James Magazines as one of the Most Influential People in Georgia. Mullis and his wife, Teresa, have three children and one grandchild. They reside in Chickamauga.

R. Brian Strickland, Georgia Film, Music and Digital Entertainment Advisory Commission

Strickland is a partner at the law firm of Smith, Welch, Webb & White, LLC, where he specializes in civil litigation out of the firm’s McDonough office.  He was elected to the Georgia House of Representatives in 2012 for District 111 in Henry County. He is vice chairman of the House Banks and Banking Committee and is a member of the Judiciary Non-Civil, Economic Development and Tourism, Industry and Labor, Appropriations, and Intragovernmental Coordination committees. He is the former president of the Henry County Kiwanis Club and is a member of McDonough Presbyterian Church. Strickland earned a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Valdosta State University and a law degree from Florida Coastal School of Law in 2009. He and his wife, Lindsay, reside in McDonough.
