Deal appoints seven to boards
Robert Lee Todd IV, Board of Trustees of the Georgia Firefighters’ Pension Fund
Todd is a general practice attorney in Greenville. He has served as local counsel to the Meriwether County School District for more than 25 years and is a former adjunct instructor of Business Law at LaGrange College. He is a member of the Meriwether County Department of Public Safety. Todd has served as chief of station one of the Meriwether County Volunteer Fire Department and as chief of the City of Greenville Volunteer Fire Department. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Emory University and a law degree from Samford University. Todd and his wife, Martha Ann, have two children and two grandchildren. They reside in Greenville.
Kerry Cook, Board of Trustees of the Georgia Firefighters’ Pension Fund (reappointment)
Cook currently serves as chief bailiff for Judge Gene Roberts in the Hall County State Court. He retired from the City of Decatur Fire Department after more than 29 years of experience serving as a firefighter. Cook previously served on the City of Decatur’s Retirement Board from 1999 through 2002. He is also a former chairman of the Hall County Republican Party. Cook and his wife, Ann, have two children and one grandchild. They reside in Pendergrass.
Phil Gingrey, Georgia Regents Health System Board of Directors
Gingrey represented Georgia’s 11th Congressional District from 2003 to 2015, founding the Congressional Doctors Caucus and serving on the House Energy and Commerce Committee. He also served as a state senator and as chairman of the Marietta City School Board. Prior to his public service, Gingrey was an OB/GYN physician for more than 20 years. He belongs to the Cobb County Medical Society, the Medical Association of Georgia, the Georgia OB/GYN Society and is a board-certified member of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Gingrey earned a bachelor’s degree from Georgia Tech and a medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia. He and his wife, Billie, have four children and 13 grandchildren. They reside in Marietta.
Adam H. Hatcher, Board of Community Affairs
Hatcher serves as general counsel of MAU Workforce Solutions. He serves on the advisory boards of the Salvation Army, Heritage Academy and Fireside Ministries. He is also the legislative chair of the Georgia Staffing Association and is a member of the American Staffing Association’s Legal and Legislative Committee. Hatcher earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Virginia and a law degree from Wake Forest University. He and his wife, Courtney, have two sons. They reside in Augusta.
Baoky N. Vu, Technical College System of Georgia
Vu is currently vice president of VetConnexx, a veteran-owned and veteran-employed small business providing customer care solutions to the telecommunications, financial service and health care industries. He currently serves as vice chair of the DeKalb County Board of Voter Registration and Elections. He also serves as a board member of Visiting Nurse Health System and a member of the board of visitors of Georgia State University’s Honors College. He is a former presidential commission appointee under President George W. Bush. Vu earned a bachelor’s degree from the Georgia Tech and a master’s degree in Business Administration from Georgetown University. He and his wife, Anh Le, have two children. They reside in Decatur.
Mike Pryor, State Rehabilitation Council
Pryor is the director of Program Development for Goodwill Industries of North Georgia. He has previously served as president of the Georgia Rehabilitation Association. Pryor earned a bachelor’s degree from Western Carolina University and a master’s degree in Human Services from Bellevue University. He and his wife, Renee, have four children. They reside in Clarkesville.
Deborah Fields-Harris, State Rehabilitation Council
Fields-Harris served as the family support coordinator for the Georgia Sensory Assistance Project, formerly the Georgia Deafblind Project, for 13 years. She currently works as a regional coordinator for Parent to Parent of Georgia. She has served on the Georgia Department of Education’s State Advisory Panel for Special Education for six years and as treasurer for the Miracle League of South Fulton since 2011. Fields-Harris was the 2014 recipient of the Barbara B. Rose Volunteer of the Year Award, presented by the Midtown Atlanta Rotary Club. Fields-Harris earned a bachelor’s degree from Fisk University. She and her husband, Kenneth, have one son. They reside in College Park.
