Gov. Nathan Deal today signed into law the Fiscal Year 2015 budget, which takes effect upon the start of the fiscal year on July 1 and includes the largest single year increase in k-12 funding in seven years.
In preparation for severe storms that have caused extensive damage in states to the west, Gov. Nathan Deal has declared a state of emergency, which will free up all state resources needed for preparation and response in the counties targeted by the storm.
