Deal announces Ocmulgee Judicial Circuit appointments

Gov. Nathan Deal today announced the appointment of Alison T. Burleson and Brenda Holbert Trammell to Superior Court judgeships within the Ocmulgee Judicial Circuit. The vacancies were created by the resignation of the Hon. Hulane E. George and the passing of the Hon. James L. Cline.  The appointments will take effect upon swearing in.

Alison T. Burleson, Ocmulgee Judicial Circuit

Burleson is an assistant district attorney with the Ocmulgee Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s Office and an adjunct professor with the Georgia State University College of Law. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Agnes Scott College and her law degree from the Georgia State University College of Law. She resides in Rutledge.

Brenda Holbert Trammell, Ocmulgee Judicial Circuit

Trammell is sole practitioner of Brenda Holbert Trammell, Attorney at Law in Madison. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Tift College and her law degree from the University of Georgia School of Law.  She and her husband, William, have 10 children. They reside in Eatonton.
