Deal names Elbert County solicitor general

Gov. Nathan Deal today announced the appointment of James W. Webb to fill the solicitor general vacancy in Elbert County. The appointment will become effective upon swearing-in.

James W. Webb

Webb currently serves as senior district attorney in the Northern Judicial Circuit, which is comprised of Elbert, Franklin, Hart, Madison and Oglethorpe counties. He worked in the District Attorney’s Office for 14 years and currently serves as the acting solicitor of Madison County Probate Court. Webb earned his bachelor’s degree from Georgia College and his law degree from the Walter F. Georgia School of Law at Mercer University.
