Deal appoints four to boards

Alton W. Knight, Board of Directors of the Georgia Regional Transportation Authority (reappointment)

Knight is managing member of Knight & Cook CPAs, LLC. He serves on the Griffin-Spalding Industrial Development Authority and is currently chairman of the Operations and Finance Committee. Knight earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Valdosta State University and a master’s degree in Public Administration from Georgia State University. He and his wife, Annette, have three children and three grandchildren. They reside in Griffin.

Evelyn Wynn-Dixon, Board of Directors of the Georgia Regional Transportation Authority (reappointment)

Wynn-Dixon is an Atlanta native and mayor of the city of Riverdale. She serves on the executive boards of the Georgia Municipal Association and the Clayton County Mayor’s Association. She is the recipient of the Clayton County Woman of the Year Award and was recognized by the Atlanta Business League as one of “Atlanta Top 100 Women of Influence.” Wynn-Dixon earned a bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Georgia State University and master’s degree in Gerontology from the University of Georgia. She has four children and seven grandchildren. She resides in Riverdale.

H. Scott Kroell Jr., State Board of Nursing Home Administrators (reappointment)

Kroell is the chief executive officer of Liberty Regional Medical Center in Hinesville. He was active in the U.S. Navy Reserve and retired as a captain after 28 years of service. He serves on the Healthcare Georgia Foundation Board of Directors, as vice chair of the Liberty County Board of Health and is chair-elect of the Southeast Georgia Cancer Coalition. He and his wife, Diane, have two daughters. They reside in Hinesville.

Donna W. Huffstutler, State Board of Nursing Home Administrators

Huffstutler is an area vice president for Golden Living and oversees Golden Living Centers in Georgia. She joined Golden Living in 1984 as a social worker and later served as an executive director. Huffstutler is a licensed nursing home administrator and earned a bachelor’s degree in Social Work from LaGrange College. She resides in Decatur.
