First lady announces Easter egg hunt

First Lady Sandra Deal will host the ninth annual Governor’s Mansion Easter egg hunt on Saturday, April 9, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Activities will also include an Easter egg roll, egg decorating, a moonwalk, a cupcake creation station, storybook station, face painting, balloon animals and Easter bunny photos. Refreshments will be provided. Children are asked to bring their own Easter baskets.

RSVP to Jessica Sullivan beginning Monday, March 28, at 404-261-1776. Only phone call reservations will be accepted. Reservations are given on a first come, first served basis until capacity is reached. Due to space limitations and for safety concerns, two chaperones per party are requested.

Families attending are encouraged to bring new teddy bears or stuffed animals as a donation to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. Monetary donations will also be accepted.

Participants are asked to arrive at the Mansion by 10:30 a.m. Guests with reservations should enter the main security gate and their name will be on the list to allow admittance.
