Deal appoints panel to review Cherokee school board member
Gov. Nathan Deal today appointed Tim Stultz of the Cobb County school board and Ann Crow of the Forsyth County school board to a panel that will determine whether or not to suspend indicted Cherokee County school board member Kelly Marlow. The law requires Attorney General Sam Olens to fill the third position on the review panel.
The state constitution calls for the panel to determine if the indictment relates to and adversely affects Marlow’s ability to perform her official duties. Under the executive order, the panel has 14 days to study the case and issue a written report with its determination to the governor.
