Deal appoints three to boards

Hyland is president and chief executive officer of Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. Previously, she served as the chief financial officer and chief operating officer for Children’s. She currently serves on the boards of the Ronald McDonald House Charities, Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce, Georgia Tech Advisory Board, University of Georgia Board of Visitors, SunTrust Bank Atlanta Advisory Board, and Stone Mountain Industrial Park Board. Hyland has been recognized as Georgia Trend magazine’s Most Respected Business Leader and 100 Most Influential Georgians, Atlanta Business Chronicle’s 100 Most Influential Atlantans, and one of Business to Business magazine’s Women of Excellence. Hyland and her husband, Paul, reside in Atlanta with their two children.

 

Imlay is president of the Imlay Foundation, Inc. She previously worked for both Georgia State University and Management Science America. She currently serves on the boards of Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and Volunteers in Medicine in Hilton Head Island, SC. Imlay attended Furman University and Georgia State University. She and her husband, John, live in Atlanta. 

 

Doran currently serves as principal of the Drew Charter School in Atlanta. He is the former executive director of Outward Bound Atlanta. He served 32 years in Atlanta Public Schools as a teacher, coach, curriculum specialist, principal and executive director. As executive director, he provided support for twenty-four schools to ensure the development, implementation and assessment of school programs. In his nine-year tenure as principal at Inman Middle and Benteen Elementary School, both schools won the prestigious National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence award. He was also an exchange principal to Germany, and an educational consultant in India and Japan. Doran received a bachelor’s degree from Taylor University and a master’s degree from Georgia State University. He and his wife, Nancy, have three daughters. They reside in Atlanta.
