Deal releases names of DeKalb applicants

Gov. Deal’s nominating committee for DeKalb school board appointments today released the names of the 403 applicants.

 

“I have asked Chairman Kenneth Mason and the nominating committee to work quickly yet carefully to deliver me at least two nominees for each seat,” Deal said. “I met yesterday with Superintendent Michael Thurmond, and we know the time-sensitive importance of restoring the board so it can get to work putting the school system back on the right track.”
