Deal announces solicitor-general of Forsyth County

Gov. Nathan Deal today announced the appointment of attorney Donna S. Gopaul to fill the solicitor-general vacancy in Forsyth County. The vacancy was created by the appointment of the Hon. Leslie Abernathy Maddox as State Court judge of Forsyth County.  

Donna S. Gopaul

Gopaul is the sole practitioner and owner of the Gopaul Law Firm LLC. She previously served as an assistant public defender within the Griffin Judicial Circuit, and as assistant solicitor-general within the Forsyth County Solicitor-General’s Office. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Agnes Scott College and her law degree from Thomas M. Cooley Law School. Gopaul resides in Cumming.
