Deal appoints eight to boards

Tammy C. Burdeaux, Georgia Board of Nursing
Burdeaux is the district nursing and clinical director for the East Central Health District 6 Department of Public Health. She serves on the Board of Directors of the Case Management Society of America, Augusta Chapter, and on the Advisory Councils for Augusta Technical College School of Nursing, Augusta State University School of Nursing and Georgia Health Sciences University School of Nursing. Burdueax is also an active member of the Editorial Review Board for the Journal of Infusion Nursing and the Augusta Partnership for Children Membership Council. She is a member of the Case Management Society of America, the Intravenous Nurses Society and the Georgia Public Health Association. Burdeaux graduated from the Medical College of Georgia with a bachelor’s degree in Nursing and is certified in infusion nursing. She and her husband, Bill, have one son. They reside in Augusta.

Fredettena C. Fletcher, Georgia Board of Examiners of Licensed Practical Nurses (reappointment)
Fletcher has been employed with Heritage Inn Nursing Home in Barnesville for 19 years. She currently serves as the resident assessment instrument (RAI)/minimum data set (MDS) coordinator and is a certified nurse assessment coordinator through the Georgia Nursing Home Association. Fletcher is a 2009 Leadership Lamar graduate and a member of the Lamar County College and Career Academy Board of Directors, where she is serving as secretary. She is currently enrolled at Excelsior College’s School of Nursing. She and her husband, James, have two children. They reside in Barnesville.

Robert S. Jepson, Jr., Georgia Ports Authority (reappointment)
Jepson is the chairman of the board at Jespon Associates, Inc., a private investment company based in Savannah. He serves as vice chairman of the Georgia Ports Authority and is a member of the Board of Dominion Resources in Richmond, Va. Additionally, he is the vice chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Georgia Historical Society, vice chairman of the Board of Visitors of the Savannah College of Art and Design, and chairman of the Board of Governors of the Lucas Theatre for the Arts. Jepson earned degrees from the University of Richmond including a bachelor’s in Business Administration and a master’s in Commerce. He and his wife, Alice, have two children and five grandchildren. They reside in Savannah.

Kellie R. Lockwood, Georgia Board of Examiners of Licensed Practical Nurses (reappointment)
Lockwood is a registered nurse and has served as lead instructor for the practical nursing program on the Coffee County Campus at Wiregrass Technical College in Douglas. She has served as director and instructor of the pharmacy technician program at East Central Technical College, now part of Wiregrass Technical College. Lockwood also has experience as a supervisor of home health aides for the Health Department of Home Care Services, as an industrial nurse at Josepha Campbell Company and director and instructor for a practical nursing program at South Georgia College. Lockwood has a bachelor’s degree in Nursing from the University of the State of New York and a master’s in Nursing from Valdosta State University. She and her husband, Charles, have five children and four grandchildren. They reside in Douglas.

Narender G. Reddy, Board of Directors of the Georgia Regional Transportation Authority (reappointment)
Reddy is currently president of Sterling Realty Services, Inc. and has been an investor and broker of commercial real estate for 20 years. He is a former founding director of Quantum National Bank in Suwanee. Reddy also serves on the Atlanta Regional Commission’s Environment and Land Use Committee. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Economics along with a law degree from Osmania University in India and a master’s in Business Administration from the University of Evansville. Reddy has two daughters. He resides in Duluth.

J.T. Williams, Board of Directors of the Georgia Regional Transportation Authority (reappointment)
Williams is currently the chairman and CEO of Killearn, Inc., a family-owned company. He previously served as the treasurer and chairman of finance of the Metropolitan North Georgia Water Planning District Governing Board, chairman of the Georgia State Board of Education, and chairman of the Atlanta Regional Business Coalition. Williams earned a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Economics from Florida State University and did graduate work at the University of Florida. He has three sons and 12 grandchildren. He resides in Stockbridge.

Walter M. “Sonny” Deriso, Jr., Board of Directors of the Georgia Regional Transportation Authority (reappointment)
Deriso is chairman and a director of Atlantic Capital Bank and Atlantic Capital Bancshares, Inc. where he has served since October 2006. He has served as vice chairman of Synovus Financial Corp. and as a member of the Board of Directors of Synovus Financial Corp. Deriso is also a past chairman of the Board of Security Bank and Trust Company of Albany. He is currently a member of the Board of Trustees of Emory University, a member of the Board of Directors of Post Properties, Inc., a member of the Board of Directors of the Georgia Chamber of Commerce and a member of the Rotary Club of Atlanta. Deriso graduated from Emory University with a bachelor’s degree in History as well as a law degree. He and his wife, Judy, have three sons and seven grandchildren.

James F. Gingrey, State Board of Technical and Adult Education
Gingrey is a semi-retired attorney and real estate investor. He is a volunteer at the Shepard Spinal Center and a member of Christ the King Catholic Church. Gingrey earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Georgia and a law degree from Emory School of Law. He resides in Atlanta.
