Deal appoints six to boards

Jane H. Johnson, Georgia Board of Massage Therapy (Reappointment)
Johnson is the owner of Clinical Massage Associates, LLC, in Marietta. She was elected in October of 2009 as a director-at-large for the Federation of State Massage Therapy Boards. Johnson is a member of the Georgia chapter of the American Massage Therapy Association. Johnson graduated from Atlanta School of Massage in 1990, Ohio College of Massotherapy in 2005, and currently attends Kennesaw State University. She and her husband, Douglas, have one son, Wade, and reside in Marietta.

Kathy V. Lescak, Georgia Board of Massage Therapy
Lescak began her study of massage and traditional Asian healing arts in 1977 and has studied the Okazaki style of traditional Japanese deep-tissue and restorative massage therapy in which she is a certified senior advanced instructor. Lescak has also studied, practiced and taught traditional Chinese medicine and various other traditional Eastern healing modalities for more than 34 years. She owns and operates a medical massage clinic and serves on the Georgia Board of Massage Therapy, where she has been the first vice chairperson since its inception in 2006. Lescak also currently serves as the Georgia delegate to the National Federation of State Massage Therapy Boards. She resides in Metter.

Patrick G. Robinson, Board of Directors of MCG Health System, Inc.
Robinson is a general dentist in a private practice in Athens. He received his undergraduate education at the University of Georgia and his dental degree from the Medical College of Georgia. Robinson is currently serving as the president of the Clarke County Dental Society and is a member of the Georgia Dental Association, the American Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry. He and his wife, Cassie, a registered nurse at St. Mary’s Hospital, reside in Watkinsville.

James C. Larche, II, Board of Commissioners of the Judges of the Probate Courts Retirement Fund of Georgia
Larche retired from the Employees’ Retirement System of Georgia (ERS) as deputy director with 35 years of service. His tenure included president of National Conference of State Social Security Administrators, president of State Personnel Council of Georgia and numerous state advisory committees. Larche received the governor’s award for employee of the year from ERS, and he served as interim executive director subsequent to retirement. He resides in Marietta.

Rudolf W. Cisco, State Board of Podiatry Examiners
Cisco has been in practicing podiatry in Gainesville for 22 years and is currently on staff at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center and the Gainesville Surgery Center. He was president of the Georgia Podiatric Medical Association from 2004 to 2006 and has served on the board for eight years. He is presently a member of the Georgia Podiatric Medical Association, the American Podiatric Medical Association, and is a fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. He and his wife, Jeanne, have two children and reside in Gainesville.

Jack M. Chapman, Board of Community Health
Chapman is a practicing ophthalmologist in Gainesville. He serves on the board of directors of the Medical Association of Georgia Foundation, the Georgia Chamber of Commerce, the Alliant/Georgia Medical Care Foundation, the Georgia Partnership for Telehealth and the Physicians Institute.  He is also president of the board of the Health Access Initiative and a member of the Medical Association of Georgia. Chapman earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Georgia and a medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia. He and his wife, Leslie, have one son and reside in Gainesville.
