Deal names new Board of Regents member

Neil Pruitt, Jr., Fifth Congressional District, Board of Regents

Pruitt is chairman and CEO of UHS-Pruitt Corp., which is an integrated health care company. Pruitt also serves as vice chair of the board of governors of the American Health Care Association, which represents nearly 11,000 nonprofit and proprietary facilities, including skilled nursing homes, assisted living residences, sub-acute centers and homes for people with developmental disabilities. Pruitt is a recognized leader in the healthcare profession and is a member of the Alliance for Quality Nursing Home Care, a board member of the United Hospice Foundation and past chairman of the Georgia Health Care Association. Pruitt graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of the South. He was awarded a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Health Administration from Georgia State University. He lives in Atlanta with his wife, Mebane, and their three children.
