Deal appoints three to boards

Rebecca B. Bynum, State Board of Dentistry

Bynum is a nationally and state licensed dental hygienist currently working with Azalea City Family Dentistry in Valdosta. She is a member of the Valdosta Board of the American Heart Association, as well as various other community and civic organizations. Bynum earned an Associate of Science degree in dental hygiene from Darton College and has completed additional studies at both the University of Alabama and the University of Madrid, Spain. She and her husband, Ed, have three children.

Brian Daniel, State Licensing Board for Residential and General Contractors

Daniel is president of Carroll Daniel Constructing Company, a general contracting and construction management firm located in Gainesville. Daniel earned his B.S. in Management from Auburn University and his M.S. in Building Construction from Southern Polytechnic State University. He is a member of First Baptist Church of Gainesville and is affiliated with a number of community and business organizations. Daniel is a director of the Chattahoochee Bank of Georgia, a trustee of Riverside Military Academy, a board member of the Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce, board member of the Georgia branch of the Associated General Contractors, board member of the United way of Hall County and past chairman and board member of Challenged Child and Friends.

John C. Sundstrom, DVM, State Board of Veterinary Medicine

Sundstrom has practiced veterinary medicine in Gainesville at Animal Medical Care since the end of 1969. An Eagle Scout, he completed his pre-veterinary curriculum at the University of Maryland and received his doctorate in veterinary medicine from the University of Georgia in 1967. Since graduation, he has been a member of the American Veterinary Association and the Georgia Veterinary Medical Association, where he worked on the Peer Review Committee. He is also a member of local associations and the Georgia Academy of Veterinary Practice. He has been member of the Gainesville Rotary Club for more than 30 years and has served as director. He is a member of Grace Episcopal Church in Gainesville. He and his wife, Linda, have two children and four granddaughters.
