Statement from Gov. Nathan Deal on the death of a Highway Emergency Response Operator (HERO) today:

I am deeply saddened to hear of this tragic loss today. Spencer Pass died in the service of the people of Georgia doing dangerous work that benefits and protects us all.

The death of a public servant in the line of duty is a tragedy for all Georgians. Sandra and I will keep the family of Spencer Pass in our thoughts and prayers. Our hearts go out to them today.
