Pastor, Foster Parent & Advocate
Burkett and his wife Valerie have been adoptive parents for 27 years and foster parents for 14 years. They have eight adopted children from ages 8 to 27 years old and reside on a small farm near Omega. Burkett is a pastor at Bridge Creek Primitive Baptist Church near Moultrie and serves as president of the Colquitt County Foster Parent Association and Lead Advocate for the Adoptive and Foster Parent Association of Georgia.
