Deal announces judicial appointment

Gov. Nathan Deal today announced the appointment of the Honorable Don Wesley Thompson as Superior Court Judge of the Lookout Mountain Judicial Circuit. Thompson will fill the vacancy created by the resignation of the Honorable Jon Bolling Wood. The appointment will take effect upon swearing in.

Thompson is a partner with Bruce & Thompson, LLC in Summerville. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Berry College and a law degree from Cumberland School of Law of Samford University. He and his wife, Erica, have one child and reside in Summerville.
