Deal appoints Brunswick Judicial Circuit judge

Gov. Nathan Deal today announced the appointment of the Honorable Roger B. Lane, Sr. to the Superior Court judgeship within the Brunswick Judicial Circuit to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of the Honorable Amanda F. Williams. The appointment will take effect upon swearing in.

Roger B. Lane, Sr.
First elected in 2004, Lane currently represents the 167th District in the Georgia House of Representatives. He has practiced law in Glynn County since 1976.  Lane attended Brunswick Junior College and graduated from Georgia State University with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. He earned his law degree from Mercer University. He and his wife, Leigh Ann, have three children and 12 granddaughters. They live on St. Simons Island.
